Dressed to Shine!

Many women enjoy dressing well, and my goal is to highlight their unique features and personalities through fashion choices. The holiday season is packed with various gatherings, which can make selecting the perfect outfit a bit overwhelming. Here are some tips for shining at any occasion.

If you’ve decorated your space and invited friends to celebrate, my recommendation is to embrace a stylish mix of casual and festive. In this look, Meridith dons a trendy off-the-shoulder dressed-up tee from her Maniac collection, paired with emerald green suede leggings, chic over-the-knee boots (an essential accessory!), and an oversized necklace that completes the ensemble beautifully.

Meridith Casey, the founder of the Dallas-based company Maniac, donates 100% of net profits to Dallas’ Child and Family Guidance Center, which has supported vulnerable families for over a century. After her brother faced a bipolar disorder diagnosis three years ago, Meridith merged her passion for stylish comfort with a mission to support others like him, as she explains, “Maniac reflects my love for fashionable yet easygoing clothing alongside my compassion for my brother and others in similar situations.”

For a more upscale event, replace the over-the-knee boots with elegant ankle strap heels, and layer a striking faux fur jacket along with a golden chain bag to ensure all eyes are on you. Fabulous!

Charity Luncheon

As we embrace a season of giving, I styled Laurie in a sophisticated bright blue A-Line shift dress, which is beautifully complemented by a deconstructed winter white blazer and this season’s highly sought-after suede booties.

Lauri Paschetag Braschler leads LuLu’s Blooms, LLC, an organic landscape company where she integrates her passion for sustainability into her work. Her dedication extends deeply to those around her; at 18, she faced a life-altering car accident that claimed two lives. Awakening from a five-day coma with dire prognosis, she persevered against the odds. “I pushed through to relearn everything, and my goal is to motivate others to realize their dreams,” she shares.

Transitioning to a Company Gathering

For her 3:00 p.m. office celebration, Laurie can enhance her look with a long string of black pearls, a fitted heather grey blazer, and sleek suede pumps. A touch of red lipstick in her timeless handbag will add a perfect finishing touch. Voila!

The Corporate Holiday Gathering

In this look, Radhika showcases the ideal balance of professional elegance and chic style. She sports a jacquard high-low skirt paired with a classic black silk top, trendy strappy suede heels (perfect for the season’s jewel tones!), and a uniquely designed horn necklace.

She founded Sukan, a jewelry line designed in the U.S. and handcrafted in India, aiming to empower rural women through their artistry. “Our products signify good intentions and positively impact the communities where we create them,” she shares. www.sukanjewelry.com

Transitioning to Girls Night Out

When meeting up with friends for a holiday gift exchange, Radhika can easily switch to flared jeans, an embellished saddlebag, and this season’s “new neutral”−burgundy platform heels. Adding statement earrings completes her festive look. Très Chic!

Cocktail Soirée

For Kim, I chose a stunning sheath dress that features a crisscross design, adding a hint of edge to a timeless silhouette.

Kim Bannister is a dedicated writer, author, and community volunteer who co-founded the Sawyer Collection, a Lucite home accessory line with her daughter. With a strong commitment to philanthropy, she actively supports organizations like Heroes for Children and The Elisa Project. “Service has always been part of my life, reminding me of the importance of being present for others,” she explains.

Transition from Cocktail to Office Event

With the holiday season often filled with multiple events, for a swift change from festive to professional, Kim can simply layer her dress with a blazer, add a striking belt, choose closed-toe shoes, and grab a structured handbag. Stunning!
