Dallas, a city known for its excellence, faces a heartbreaking reality tonight as approximately 5,000 children and their families lack a secure place to rest.

Established in 1986 by former Mayor Annette G. Strauss, Family Gateway has dedicated nearly three decades to supporting homeless families. Beyond offering safe and stable housing, Family Gateway collaborates with partner organizations to provide a comprehensive array of services for its clients, including mental and physical health care, employment preparedness, job training, GED classes, afterschool activities, and more.
The Goss-Michael Foundation held the 2015 Gateway to Opportunity Sponsor Party to honor the host committee, sponsors, and the recipients of the 2015 volunteer awards.
The luncheon on November 5th will showcase Judge Glenda Hatchett, a prominent figure in juvenile and social issues, who passionately advocates for children across the nation. This event aims to raise awareness about juvenile challenges and gather essential funds necessary to combat child homelessness in the community. The event will be co-chaired by Rich Moses and Selwyn Rayzor, with Ruth Sharp Altshuler serving as Honorary Chair.
