Apple Crumble
1 can (20 ounces) apple pie filling
1 box yellow cake mix
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1 1/2 sticks of butter, melted
Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream topping (optional)
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
In a baking dish, spread the apple pie filling evenly over the bottom. If you’re using chopped pecans, combine them with the cake mix and layer this mixture on top of the filling.
Pour the melted butter over the cake mix. Avoid mixing the layers. If the butter gathers in one area, gently lift the dish and sway it side to side for an even distribution.
Bake for 30 minutes or until the topping turns golden brown.
Enjoy with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream, if you like.
